Filter media

Modified on Thu, 13 Nov at 2:00 PM

Here is where you can restrict your search to specific media and media sets. When you save a search, the media filters are also saved.

(Number of) media: Shows the number of selected media included in the search. Click on the link to view a list of the media. The standard setting means that all media are searched.

“All media” switch: If you have set media filters and want to search across all media again, activate the switch. Your media filter settings will be reset.

Single media: The search will only be performed in the selected media. To make a selection, enter the first letter or any part of the name in the text field and then select a hit.

Media set: A media set is a compilation of media. In addition to predefined media sets, you can also create and select your own media sets. The search is performed in all media assigned to the selected media set. To make a selection, enter the first letter or any part of the name in the text field and then select a hit.

You can combine single media and media sets in your filter settings.

Create media set: If you want to reuse your filter settings in the “Media” section, click on “Save media set”. Give your media set a name and save it. Your media set will then be available in the “Media sets” selection box.

You can edit your saved media sets under “Settings”.

Exclusion of media or media sets: If you want to explicitly exclude certain media or entire media sets from your search, select them under “Exclude media” or “Exclude media sets”. The selected media or media sets will not be searched.

Issue/Date filter: Here is where you can select which issues are to be included in your search. If you save your search, these settings will not be saved.

Date of media: The date the media was published.

Available since: Date and time of delivery to PMG by the publisher. Use this setting if you want to search the database several times during the day to find new articles.

Entire period of time: All articles available in the database.

Article components: If you select an article component, only articles in which the selected component is available will be included in the hits list. If several components are selected, the articles that contain the corresponding components will be shown.
