Alerts are email notifications that you receive as soon as new articles related to your saved search are available.
Three options for setting up an alert
1. Once you have saved a search, click on “Set up alert” to set up an alert for that saved search.
2. Click on “Saved searches” in the navigation menu, and then on “Set up alert” for the desired search.
3. Click on “Saved searches” in the navigation menu, then on the “Alerts” tab followed by “Set up alert”.
Combining saved searches
An alert can contain one or more saved searches at the same time. This means you can either receive an email for each search or combine several searches in one email. Select the searches you want to include in your new alert.
Automatic sending
Select when the email should be sent. “Once to three times a day at a specific time” summarises all new articles received up to that point in a single email. “Immediately upon availability” sends an email as soon as a new article is available. Please note that depending on your search, this may result in a large number of emails. “When a fixed number is reached” collects new articles and sends the email as soon as a certain number of articles is reached. Please note that if the number of articles is very low, this number may not be reached before the articles are removed from the press database, which means you could miss search hits.
Settings for email alerts
Set what your email alert should contain: headline or headline and clipping of new articles, list of duplicate articles from different media (duplicates).
With HTML/Text, you can select the technical format of the email. HTML is the best setting for most email programs.
Recipient(s)
Select the users from your order who should receive the email alert. You can also specify an additional email address that is not included in your order. The users will receive the email in the language they use in the portal (usually English). For the additional email address, you can specify the language of the email as English or German.
Click on “Save” to save and activate your email alert. You will now see your configured alert in the list of alerts. Here is where you can also edit your settings or delete the alert.
